This is a great post. The part about forgiveness and acceptance really stood out for me.

To me, acceptance means that there is an allowance for shortcomings, while forgiveness is the actual act of pardoning a wrong. I can forgive a specific person who I feel is sincerely apologetic. I can also accept that an unapologetic person or a situation is wrong. I don’t forgive an unapologetic person, but I do accept them.

Adam,

I love your style, taking hard to grasp concepts down to a practical level where they can actually be applied. Keep it up!

Jean, thank you for visiting. :) I can assure you, I meant every word I said.

Al, I usually use your same definition of forgiveness when I'm talking to people off the street... I really wish that there was a way to say that you're forgiving an idea of someone, rather than forgiving that person directly, without explaining yourself repeatedly.

Vitor, I definitely plan on keeping it up. I have a nice, lengthy post on honesty that I'm slightly more than halfway through writing. Depending on how the editing goes, it will appear either later today, or maybe tomorrow. (I'm hoping for today, because I've been posting very consistently for a little while now.)

All three of you, thank you for commenting. Your input really helps me out.
