As an energy healer and reader, I define consciousness as "energies of awareness and intelligence." (http://scienceofenergyhealing.com/beliefs/glossary/) I agree that consciousness does not have to be connected to life. There is obviously some form of consciousness going on at atomic and subatomic levels, else how could organization occur? In my own intuitive work, I find consciousness on many different levels from organs to energy bodies. The trick is to get them all on the same page, so to speak. As far as the internet goes, I feel that it is reflecting what we have always had energetically. That this global inter/intra connection is showing up in 3rd dimension is just an indicator of our own new levels of conscious awareness. As a first time reader, I enjoyed your post. Just as a body needs to work together, with no part being less important than any other, I think that society needs to work together and realize that no part is more important than the other.
